Massive Mouse is a software company that builds simple solutions to help manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors to source, sell and ship their products.
Massive Mouse products assist businesses throughout the supply chain, from sales reps writing the order in the store, brands producing the product, and logistics suppliers delivering it to the retailer.
Background
As the owner of an outdoor apparel brand, I sent an inquiry to a sales management software company, asking for pricing on their products. For their web-based sales tool, it was going to cost $20,000 to set up an account and $3,000 per month to subscribe to the service. I was disgusted.
And then I got angry. Current web development technologies allow for new software products to be built quickly and easily. There’s no reason a simple piece of software should cost tens of thousands of dollars to use. That kind of pricing is obscene.
I realized then that I could build the product I wanted — and start a new business — for less than the cost of one year with my (future) biggest competitor. From that idea, Massive Mouse was born.

Why call it “Massive Mouse”?
Today’s technology allows small businesses to directly compete with big ones. The internet and web-based software are a brilliant, powerful combination that can level the playing field. Business size no longer matters:
- In marketing, small companies can now have just as much marketing pull as huge brands spending millions. And they can do it for free through online tools like blogs and Twitter.
- In sales, small online storefronts can be just as professional and effective as mega-businesses.
- In fulfillment, a small brand can outsource its logistics and have all the benefits of huge, world-class warehouses.
- With staff, a company of 15 can compete with a mega-brand of thousands. And they often do a better job of it.
Massive Mouse will embody this philosophy and conduct business the way it should be done: by providing incredible value to a customer base that believes in its products, and by serving those customers exceedingly well.
